WHO WE ARE

We are a community of people with a desire to help those in need through a nurturing, stable atmosphere to foster personal growth and restoration. The fundamental purpose of this program is to serve as a safe drop-in center, a sanctuary of sorts, where clients will experience basic respite, general support, life skills, and emotional and spiritual growth through creative projects and crafts.

WHAT WE DO

At the Dignity House, we serve distressed community members as well as clients and employees who have engaged with Wear Gloves; and expressed interest in seeking additional help to regain their dignity and recover from life problems.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

The Dignity House is the first stop when someone comes to Wear Gloves. Rather than leading with questions regarding where they are lacking, we focus on asking our clients what they enjoy doing, what assets and gifts do they have and how can we build into their strengths. Because we believe in a holistic approach, we also ask them where they are in their faith, what drives them, and what are they working for.

OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INVOLVED

The Dignity House hosts a number of groups and classes happening throughout the week: art recovery, mental-health wellness, and an open recovery meeting for all addictions and/or those affected by others with addiction. Be sure to check out our calendar of events!

At the Dignity House, we offer a number of various therapeutic activities such as gardening classes in our very own Urban Garden, arts and crafts and much more!

Meet Darlene, our Case Manager! At the Dignity House, clients participate in their own healing through individualized support. Darlene helps facilitate and encourage each individual’s goals, meeting them where they’re at.
