DIGNITY HOUSE

At the Dignity House, we’re on a mission to transform lives and restore hope through the power of housing. We believe that everyone deserves a place to call homeβ€”a space where they feel safe, valued, and supported. The Dignity House is a place to breathe, rebuild, and begin again.

The Dignity House program offers more than safe, temporary shelter. Guests gain access to:

  • Mental health coaching

  • Addiction recovery counseling

  • Workforce readiness and job training

  • Support in developing healthy habits and essential life practices

  • Community connection and mentorship

  • Essential resources like ID recovery, budgeting, and healthcare support

Our goal is to create an environment where guests can stabilize, rebuild, and ultimately thrive.

Dignity Pathways is a 12-Month Plan Toward Independence

We walk alongside each guest through a structured year-long journey designed to support personal growth, skill development, and long-term stability.

  • Recovery and mental health planning

  • Financial literacy and budgeting skills

  • Workforce training and career coaching

  • GED and education support

  • Computer and digital literacy

  • Health checkups and meal planning

  • Tenant education and housing readiness

Each month builds upon the last, beginning with daily routines and basic needs, and ending with long-term planning, housing security, and stable employment.

This isn’t just a place to stayβ€”it’s a place to start again.

The transformation of the Dignity House has been nothing short of remarkableβ€”and it couldn’t have happened without the steady hands and generous hearts of our community.

With the support of many, a once-empty building has become a place of dignityβ€”made possible by the hands and hearts of volunteers, donors, local partners, HUD Jacksonville, the Marion County Board of Commissioners, and countless others who showed up to make it happen.
