Meet the Founders
Wear Gloves was born from the hands and hearts of Ken and Wendy Kebrdle, alongside their daughter, Madi Kebrdle-Dingman. Their journey began with the belief that everyone, regardless of circumstances, deserves to be shown love.
In 2009, the Kebrdle family sold their home, moved into an RV, and traveled across the southeastern U.S. with the goal to immerse themselves in the lives of homeless communities – to listen, to learn, and understand how to best love those that God puts in their path. Along the way, they partnered with other organizations serving those in need, gaining valuable insights into the unique challenges and barriers faced by underserved populations.
They also traveled internationally, broadening their perspective on global poverty and the diverse needs of underserved populations around the world.
Through this journey of research, collaboration, and discovery, they realized their mission wasn’t just about providing temporary assistance, it was about empowering individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity, not dependency, in order to see lasting change.
This experience laid the foundation for Wear Gloves. Since then, Ken, Wendy, and Madi have dedicated their lives to creating a community where vulnerable individuals can gain meaningful work experience, transition to independent living, and find renewed hope in God’s purpose for their lives. Together, they’ve built more than an organization, they’ve fostered a place of belonging and dignity for those who need it most.
