Wear Gloves has existed for nearly 17 years and since the beginning we knew that the true pathway to success is through dignity, not dependency. That means hand-ups, not handouts. Wear Gloves believes in the saying: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." With that in mind, we design our programs to support independence. We work so that one day Marion County might not need us.

Did you know that the Wear Gloves Dignity House is more than a shelter? The Dignity House is a wrap around transitional housing program. That means we specialize in helping men experiencing homelessness get off the streets, achieve independence, and move on to permanent housing.
